On November 2nd, 2016, Green Drinks Edmonton: Good Business featured local businesses that set an example for others through sustainable and ethical practices, making and sourcing products locally, or being good community members:

Anna Davidson (@planetanna) is an entrepreneur, co-op member, stage manager, knitter & yarn spinner. With a team of awesome women, she co-founded the Alberta Yarn Project (@ABYarnProject) in 2014 and the Made Local Society (@madelocalhouse) this past summer. Anna is passionate about creating: community, warm garments and stories. She is committed to building up Edmonton by supporting artists, small businesses and working co-operatively.

Annie Parent from habitat etc (@habitatetc) as one of our featured guests this October! Habitat etc is a friendly lifestyle store that carries home goods, accessories, paper goods and gifts. They provide unique, local, handmade, high quality and artisanal products to customers, and have built a community of creatives around their workshop series.

Adam Yereniuk, Operations Manager at Kuby Renewable Energy LTD. (@kubyenergy) creates solar energy solutions for homes and businesses through professional designs and master workmanship. They strive to build lasting partnerships with everyone we serve by providing elite service and never sacrificing quality.

Carmen Douville (@CarmenDouville) is a designer, urbanist, and geographer. What she enjoys most is engaging with people and making things happen in Edmonton. Currently, she is the Community Manager for Make Something Edmonton (@makeityeg) and Program Manager for Edmonton Made. She has engaged with others through We Are Cities, Tete Jaune Design Show, Placemaking Challenge, LIVINGbridge, Bench Talks, and Atelier: Design by Doing. She holds a Masters Degree from the University of Edinburgh in Environment, Culture and Society, where her research focused on how places and people relate to public urban objects. Along with three partners, Carmen founded Loyal Loot Collective, an internationally recognized furniture and accessories company.

Coco Lillycrop and Zeph Mitchell from Carbon Environmental Boutique (@carbonboutique) offers only sustainable, ethical, non toxic and, whenever possible, local goods. They screen every product to ensure it adheres to the highest environmental standards, make sure people LOVE their products, and introduce people to a greener, more conscious lifestyle.

Joey Hundert (@joeyhundert) will join us on November 2 for Green Drinks: Good Business. He’s the Founder/CEO of Sustainival, the world’s first green carnival. What better fit than a young entrepreneur singly-focused on sustainability?
